Aside from the colored front and back cover, the coloring book is a total of 36 black and white hand drawn illustrations comprising of 30 muses and several backgrounds.
At 8.5 x 11 it's a familiar size, and In hand the matte cover has a slight sueded feel to it. Paper weight is 60 lb stationary weight, similar to what is used in a multipurpose brochure.
With the exception of the copyright page and muz girl glossary in the back, each page is single sided, showcasing Mark’s hand drawn illustration and l and your color scheme once completed.
The book is a quarter of an inch tall when laying flat, and is perfect bound.
ABOUT THE GIRLS:
The canon of 'muzes' easily contains over 50 drawings. This series bagan as sharpie marker drawings, and if you search the site you’ll see a few items from that style idea.
This portrait style drawing is usually how the pieces begin. For the kids product on Star Showroom, we took the style language to a traditional anime execution which we assume is more appropriate for youth product.
Many wonder if the illustrated girls actually represent someone in real life? We gave most of them personality profiles, but the portraits themselves exist to inspire the viewer to live their ideal lives, to be your muses rather than as emulations of a real person. There’s Sakura the dream girl, Mahal the homebody, Jade the enigma… Whose muse are you?
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO WITH IT:
This coloring book was intended to be colored in, and for those colorations to be shared. Add your personality to the portraits and share your creativity using the hashtag #muzgirl.
